I've started to use Font Book again just so I can get some work done, but I'm wondering if anyone else is having these issues? Is it a Yosemite thing or an Extensis/Suitcase Fusion thing? As a graphic designer a font management system that ISN'T Font Book is a must, but I'm wondering if SF6 just isn't the best option out there anymore. The plug-ins still needed to be deactivated and today SF6 started freezing up again when I tried to manually activate fonts. I again contacted Extensis, who told me to do a complete uninstall and reinstall of the program, which I did, and that worked for about a day. Then, at some point, manually activating fonts resulted in SF6 freezing up and my being unable to manually activate anything. The SF6 auto-activation plug-ins were crashing my Adobe Creative Cloud 2015 programs left and right, so I turned those off and began manually activating fonts in SF6 as I needed them. Since then, font management has been a daily battle. I highly recommend Fusion 5 to compliment your design toolbox. I called Extensis tech support and they told me the only solution was to upgrade to Suitcase Fusion 6 (17.1.0), which I happily did. Soon thereafter, Suitcase Fusion 5 began freezing up and auto-activation stopped working. We do not provide technical support for discontinued products.
